#STEMinism

Campaign

In 2020, I led the conceptualisation, design, and delivery of Teach First’s #STEMinism campaign, which highlighted the lack of female representation in the UK’s STEM curriculum. Working with the external relations team, we developed a policy and awareness campaign urging government action and public engagement around this critical issue.

I established the campaign’s creative direction, using the concept of “missing elements” from the periodic table to symbolise women’s absence in STEM history. This idea informed the design of the policy report, social media assets, and consumer-facing materials, combining scientific precision with striking visual storytelling. The campaign gained national recognition, winning the Inside Out Design for Good Award and earning support from policymakers, business leaders, and media outlets.

2020

In 2020 we received the Inside Out Design for Good Award for the campaign, a national award recognising the work of Creative Inhouse teams.

“This is well deserved and a tribute to the quality of our design, writing, development and promotion. The campaign still causes waves and reactions on a vital topic, so really pleasing to see it recognised in this way.”
